Recruiting from Scratch LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in New York, NY to build and own features across the full stack in a fast-growing healthcare tech environment. You will drive product roadmaps, work end-to-end on multi-system integrations, and deliver AI-powered experiences for clinicians and partners.

The role emphasizes ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and shipping impactful products with real-world data.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• Broad full-stack capabilities across frontend, backend, and infra
• Experience shipping products at fast-growing tech companies
• Strong ownership of projects from definition to production
• Excellent written and verbal communication, customer interaction
• Experience with messy/unstructured data and external integrations
• Hands-on AI/ML product experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build full-stack features using Python, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
• Own significant areas of the product and drive technical roadmaps toward measurable outcomes.
• Lead zero-to-one product development from idea through production launch.
• Build end-to-end features across frontend, backend, systems, testing, and debugging.
• Decode healthcare workflows involving insurance, affordability, and prescription fulfillment.
• Build AI-powered experiences for patients, physicians, and biopharma partners.
• Apply AI/ML to document classification and data extraction tasks.
• Engage with clients to translate requirements into product solutions.
• Own projects from problem definition through launch and impact.
• Improve engineering processes and tooling as the team scales.
• Work with messy real-world data and external integrations.
