Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC seeks a Full Stack Engineer to join a fast-growing health and wellness tech startup in New York City. You’ll work on frontend-heavy features, dashboards, and internal tools, with AI-powered workflows and agentic frameworks powering development.

You’ll collaborate closely with the CTO and Senior Engineer, ship features from day one, and enjoy significant ownership in a small, high-velocity team. Hybrid work includes three days in-office and two remote days.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of full-stack software engineering experience in a startup or fast-moving environment.
• Strong production experience with React and TypeScript.
• Understanding of component architecture, state management, and modern frontend development.
• Experience developing across frontend, APIs, and databases.
• Frontend-leaning background with a focus on user-facing experiences.
• Experience shipping production software and full development lifecycle.
• Daily use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup with frequent releases and rapid iteration.
• Desire to learn, take ownership, and grow as an engineer.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship production-quality partner- and consumer-facing experiences using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Develop dashboards for wellness partners, consumers, and internal operations.
• Work across the full stack to connect APIs and interact with databases.
• Build AI-powered workflows and internal tools using MCP and agentic frameworks.
• Develop features leveraging the data infrastructure for AI and analytics.
• Collaborate with CTO and Senior Engineer on product development and technical decisions.
• Translate product requirements into intuitive, scalable experiences.
• Write clean, maintainable production code and contribute to a modern codebase.
• Participate in the AI-native development workflow and leverage tooling to accelerate development.
• Iterate quickly based on feedback and improve existing experiences.
• Contribute to engineering standards, tooling, and practices as the team grows.
