Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to act as the hands-on technical anchor for our engineering team, owning architecture and critical-path development while guiding engineers across the group. This is a deeply hands-on role focused on design, build, and code review, not delegation, with close collaboration with product, architecture, and business stakeholders.

You will translate business goals into a technical roadmap while upholding the highest standards of code quality,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in large-scale software development.
• 5+ years designing and developing highly scalable microservices, web services, and REST APIs.
• 3+ years of experience developing production-grade applications in Python, including API development (FastAPI/Flask) and AI/ML integration.
• 3+ years of experience with distributed messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• 2+ years in a technical lead role.
• 2+ years of event-driven architectures and asynchronous integration patterns.
• 2+ years of Python-based data pipelines and automation scripts.
• 2+ years deploying/operating services on cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 2+ years with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo).
• 2+ years with source control (GitHub/GitLab).
• 2+ years with Docker/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and critical-path development for the engineering team.
• Mentor engineers and set technical direction across the team.
• Translate business goals into a technical roadmap and execution plan.
• Design, build, and review code with a hands-on approach, ensuring quality and security.
