Job summary
BBCH Civil & Fuels seeks an experienced Fuels Estimator for remote work with occasional travel. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for fuels and heavy civil projects based on plans, specs, and scopes of work.
Candidates should have at least five years as estimator or PM in fuels systems, including federal projects, and be proficient with Excel and common estimating software. This role offers a competitive salary and strong benefits.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years as estimator or PM in fuels and fueling systems.
- Experience estimating federal projects is highly favorable.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract docs, drawings, specs, scopes of work, schedules.
- Knowledge of fuels contracting and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Produce direct-perform and subcontracted Fuels + Heavy Civil cost estimates.
- Provide quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns for materials and labor.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors during estimates.
- Support constructability reviews with designers and vendors.
- Prepare inquiries to clients regarding drawings and scopes of work.
