Job summary

MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Estimator with extensive heavy civil estimating experience. The role focuses on earthwork, underground work, PCC paving, and cost estimation for heavy highway projects.

The position supports flexibility with a remote/hybrid arrangement and some travel. Ideal candidates will have a civil/structural or construction management background and at least five years of relevant experience, with DOT familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil estimating.
• Extensive experience with earthwork and underground; PCC paving knowledge a plus.
• IDOT/INDOT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Prepare preliminary budgets and itemized summaries for go/no-go decisions.
• Identify risks and develop cost impact analyses.
• Provide strategy and value engineering solutions.
• Communicate with clients, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Perform quantity takeoff comparisons to evaluate accuracy.
• Coordinate with scheduling to develop bid schedules.
• Present complete estimates for decision making.
• Represent the company at pre-bids and site visits.
