Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead federal project cost estimates. This role focuses on estimating for infrastructure, military installations, and related federal work, coordinating with subs, PMs, engineers, and architects.

Fully remote option is available; Minnesota location preferred but not required. Requires 5+ years of estimating experience, a degree in CM/Engineering, and proficiency with estimating software and MS Office. Competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with federal projects.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret complex plans and specifications.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate full project estimates from concept to detail for federal construction projects.
• Manage subcontractors: sourcing, negotiation, coordination, and tracking performance.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand scope and requirements.
• Analyze drawings, specs, proposals to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Evaluate cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
• Participate in proposal presentations and client meetings.
• Review material and labor requirements to decide buy vs. produce decisions.
• Conduct risk analysis and prepare contingency plans.
• Keep up-to-date with construction methods, materials, and trends to stay competitive.
