Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. in Itasca, IL is seeking a Senior Customs Specialist, FTZ Administrator to ensure compliance with customs regulations and to support the smooth import and export of goods.

You will work with clients, government agencies and internal teams to prepare accurate customs documents and manage FTZ-related processes. Requirements include 2+ years in customs brokerage or related field, FTZ experience preferred, proficiency with customs software and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customs brokerage or related field.
• FTZ experience preferred.
• Experience with import and export documentation and customs clearance procedures.
• Familiarity with international trade and transportation processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs documentation, including entry forms, 214's, invoices, and other documents.
• Review and transmit weekly estimates and entry forms.
• Classify goods and determine duty rates.
• Coordinate with clients, carriers, and government agencies for 214 admissions and clearances.
• Ensure compliance with customs laws and regulations, including tariff classifications and origin requirements.
• Track 214 admissions and customs entries and resolve issues.
• Communicate with customs officials and brokers to resolve inquiries.
