Job summary

Leidos in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking an experienced Facility Security Officer to lead the industrial security program for a cleared facility supporting DoD, IC, DOE and other U.S. Government customers.

The FSO will ensure compliance with NISPOM, DD Form 254, and related security requirements, acting as the trusted security advisor to leadership, program management, and government security representatives. A TS clearance and SCI eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related industrial security experience or equivalent.
• FSO leadership experience in a cleared environment is required.
• Thorough knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and applicable DoD/DOE security requirements.
• Experience interpreting DD Forms 254, classification guides, and customer security requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and administer the facility's industrial security program.
• Ensure compliance with NISPOM, DD 254, and contract security requirements.
• Serve as primary security interface with government representatives and leadership.
• Advise leadership on security risks and mitigation strategies.
• Oversee personnel security activities, including clearances and indoctrinations.
• Manage facility clearance, safeguarding, and records in government systems.
• Oversee physical security, access controls, and security documentation.
• Conduct security reviews, self-inspections, and risk assessments.
