Leidos is seeking an experienced Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) in Huntsville, Alabama to lead security for classified DoD programs. You will oversee security requirements, interface with program leadership and government security personnel, and manage day-to-day security operations across personnel, physical, and information protection.

The role requires a TS clearance, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to relocate to the Huntsville area.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 8+ years of relevant industrial or program security experience.
• Experience supporting classified U.S. Government programs, preferably within a DoD environment.
• Experience administering or supporting Special Access Program security requirements.
• Working knowledge of applicable DoD industrial and program security requirements, including NISPOM and SAP security requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret government, contractual, and company security requirements and effectively apply them to program operations.
• Experience with personnel security, physical security, information protection, classified material accountability, and administrative security functions.
• Experience preparing for and supporting government security inspections, assessments, or program reviews.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage program leadership, employees, security professionals, and government customers.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound security judgment with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to balance security requirements with program and operational objectives.
• Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance and meet eligibility requirements for SAP and/or SI access.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville/North Alabama area.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) for assigned classified programs, including SAPs, providing security leadership and oversight.
• Implement and administer program security requirements per NISPOM, DoD directives, ICDs, JSIG, and DD Form 254.
• Interface with program leadership and government security representatives to ensure security requirements are understood and integrated.
• Administer day-to-day program security activities including personnel security, physical security, and information protection.
• Manage personnel access requirements, nominations, briefings, debriefings, and maintenance of program security records.
• Maintain classified document and material accountability across receipt, transmission, storage, and destruction.
• Conduct security self-inspections and internal reviews, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead preparation for government security assessments, inspections, and program reviews; maintain readiness.
• Manage security incidents, investigations, and coordination with Leidos and government leadership.
• Apply risk-management principles to protect information while enabling mission execution.
• Interpret and communicate government, contractual, and Leidos security requirements to leadership and staff.
• Exercise independent judgment in security decisions and escalate significant risks as needed.
• Collaborate with program management, engineering, operations, facilities, IT, and other functions to integrate security throughout programs.
• Develop and deliver program-specific security education and awareness.
• Foster a proactive security culture built on accountability and compliance.
