Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Contractor Special Security Officer to support DoD, IC, and U.S. Government programs in Huntsville, Alabama.

The CSSO will provide security leadership for complex classified programs, ensuring compliance with NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117, DoD/IC directives, and Leidos security policies. The role covers personnel security, physical security, SAP/SCI, and secure facility operations, with collaboration across program management, engineering, facilities, and government

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant security experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting industrial security operations in a classified environment.
• Experience supporting SAP and SCI programs.
• Working knowledge of ICD-705 requirements and secure facility activities.
• Experience serving in security leadership roles (FSO/CPSO/CSSO) and with U.S. Government programs.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support the industrial security program per NISPOM and DoD/IC directives.
• Provide security oversight for classified programs, facilities, data and assets.
• Administer personnel security activities including clearance processing and training.
• Coordinate with government security representatives during inspections and accreditation.
• Investigate security incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Support insider threat programs and security awareness initiatives.
