Job summary

Leidos Security Operations in Huntsville, AL seeks an experienced Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to lead industrial security for DoD/IC programs. You will ensure NISPOM compliance, manage SAP/SCI requirements, and coordinate with DoD and government customers to safeguard information and assets.

The role requires TS/SCI with SCI eligibility, a strong security operations background, and the ability to drive inspections, build secure facilities, and implement risk-mitigation strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of security experience in classified environments.
• Experience supporting industrial security operations in a classified environment.
• Experience with SAP and SCI programs and related accreditation.
• Knowledge of ICD-705 requirements and secure facility buildout activities.
• Experience as or supporting a security office (FSO/CPSO/CSSO) in DoD/IC programs.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility/access.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the industrial security program per NISPOM and DoD IC directives.
• Provide security oversight for classified programs, facilities, and assets.
• Protect classified information, hardware, data, and government property.
• Coordinate with government security reps to maintain compliant operations.
• Support physical security: access control, CCTV, intrusion systems, and visits.
• Support ICD-705 secure facility requirements and accreditation activities.
• Administer personnel security: clearances, indoctrinations, reporting, and awareness.
• Represent Leidos in security inspections and program discussions.
• Prepare facilities for government reviews and drive timely corrective actions.
• Investigate security incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Support insider threat identification and mitigation activities.
• Provide security guidance to program leadership for planning and execution.
