Job summary

Ground News is seeking a Staff Engineer to own the technical direction of its web properties, focusing on user growth and subscription revenue. You’ll work in the Growth & Monetization pod with marketing, CRO, and revenue teams, guiding architecture and experimentation infrastructure.

This role emphasizes growth engineering rather than visual design, requiring 8+ years building production frontend experiences, including 3+ years at senior/staff levels and experience shipping revenue-impact

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production frontend applications.
• 3+ years at a senior or staff IC level.
• Proven track record of growing user base or revenue on a web property.

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy for Ground News' web properties with a mandate on user growth and subscription revenue.
• Lead migration of marketing-tech stack (Unbounce to Framer) and set guardrails.
• Own the end-to-end web experimentation program.
