Job summary

Ramp is seeking a senior front-end/design engineer to lead complex marketing-site projects in New York City. You will collaborate with designers and engineers to evolve the brand design system and reusable components, ensure site consistency, and build interactive experiences that boost engagement.

You will also partner with growth teams for A/B testing and optimization. The role requires strong React/CSS skills, expertise in Next.js and Tailwind, and a portfolio demonstrating high-fidelity

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of responsive design and design-to-code workflows.
• Stellar communication skills for cross-functional teams.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a front-end or design engineer, ideally on a marketing site.
• Strong skills in React, CSS and modern frameworks (Next.js and Tailwind).
• Experience maintaining a reusable component library and sweating the design details in code.
• A portfolio site demonstrating prior work.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
• Experience with a CMS (e.g., Sanity).
• Experience with web animations (GSAP/Motion), 3D libraries, or interactive storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of complex projects to establish Ramp.com as the gold standard for brand and product marketing.
• Work with designers and engineers to maintain Ramp’s brand design system and component library, ensuring consistency across the site.
• Partner with designers to create interactive experiences that drive site engagement.
• Design and unblock yourself when design resources are constrained.
• Work closely with the paid ads and growth teams to conduct A/B testing on landing pages for multi-channel lead generation.
