Tapestry, Alphabet’s moonshot for the electric grid, seeks a Senior Frontend Engineer to own high-performance web apps that reveal the grid's hidden complexity. You'll work with UX designers and AI researchers to translate energy models into seamless interactive experiences.

You will lead end-to-end frontend modules, ensure accessibility and performance, and contribute to design systems while collaborating with Product and AI teams to test moonshot ideas in a real-world energy context.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience building and scaling sophisticated web applications.
• Mastery of TypeScript and at least one modern framework (React or Angular).
• Strong UI/UX polish with ability to navigate Figma or Adobe XD.
• Experience designing reusable component libraries and managing build pipelines.
• Strong experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Vitest, Cypress, Playwright).
• Ability to translate vague product requirements into structured technical tasks with milestones.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end implementation of frontend modules, ensuring robustness, accessibility, and performance.
• Render massive geospatial and time-series datasets into actionable insights for global partners.
• Lead code reviews and drive modern frontend standards and testing patterns.
• Collaborate with Product and AI teams to prototype moonshot ideas in energy domain.
• Maintain Design Systems and component libraries for UI consistency across apps.
• Serve as technical point of contact for UX and Product, translating design requirements into scalable architectures.
