Job summary

Tapestry, Alphabet-backed, is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to own the frontend for high-performance web apps that reveal the complex electric grid. You will work with UX designers and AI researchers to translate energy models into seamless interactive experiences.

You will lead end-to-end frontend work, drive code quality, build reusable components, and collaborate on design systems across multiple applications in a hybrid US-based role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and scaling sophisticated web applications in a production environment.
• Mastery of TypeScript and at least one modern framework (React or Angular), with a deep understanding of state management and asynchronous patterns.
• A high bar for UI/UX polish and 'pixel-perfect' implementation, with ability to navigate Figma or Adobe XD with ease.
• Experience designing reusable component libraries and managing complex build pipelines (Webpack, Vite, or Nx).
• Strong experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright) to ensure reliability of mission-critical tools.
• The ability to break down vague product requirements into structured technical tasks with clear milestones.

• Contribute to and maintain our shared Design Systems and component libraries to ensure UI consistency across multiple internal and external applications.
• Act as the technical point of contact for UX and Product, translating design requirements into scalable technical architectures.

About the role

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000 - $190,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
