Job summary

State Street Corporation, via Charles River Front Office, seeks a senior software leader to guide one or more scrum teams in building and maintaining OEMS product areas. This role focuses on modernization, architectural leadership, and agile execution within a cloud-enabled environment.

You will craft new features, oversee technical decisions, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product, client services, and cross-team stakeholders. Strong Java/C#/Microservices expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent.
• MS degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in technical leadership/architecture.
• 8+ years designing and developing software in highly transactional, concurrent, event-driven systems.
• 5+ years in financial services building solutions for Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR or Wealth Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within front office teams and across the organization.
• Architect modernization plans for OEMS modules and drive implementation.
• Collaborate with Product to design features based on market needs and client commitments.
• Fulfill Scrum Master role and foster continuous improvement.
• Improve development processes, tooling, and test strategies to raise quality.
• Guide code reviews and complex technical decisions.
• Monitor progress across initiatives to meet product and scheduling objectives.
• Review testing strategy and ensure high product quality.
• Mentor team members to grow technical and domain knowledge.
• Develop and maintain software using Microservices, Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, and related tech.
• Coordinate with Client Services for maintenance and support, and align cross-team workflows.
