Job summary

State Street is seeking a Head of Developer Platforms & Experience to lead the internal product organization that designs, builds, and operates the paved road for software delivery. You will own platform strategy, SLOs, and adoption metrics, driving velocity, security, and audit evidence.

The role requires deep technical leadership, architectural authority, and the ability to defend standards to senior leadership while delivering measurable business outcomes across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Proven record building and operating developer platforms at enterprise scale.
• Experience leading platform-engineering functions and internal portals.
• Deep expertise across CI/CD, container orchestration, IaC, and security tooling.
• Ability to influence engineering adoption with measurable outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the DPX strategy, roadmap and delivery across all product areas; set platform SLOs.
• Design and deliver golden paths with templates for production-ready services.
• Define and operate the single enterprise CI/CD and release-automation capability; migrate legacy pipelines.
• Stand up and run the internal developer portal (service catalogue, scaffolding, discovery, docs).
• Co-chair the Technology Standards Board and drive adoption of engineering standards.
