Job summary

DSV in Lancaster, TX is seeking a Customer Service Agent, Freight Operations to support freight brokerage operations by coordinating shipments, tracking, and providing timely communication to customers, carriers, and internal teams.

You will work as a key contact throughout the shipment lifecycle with Brokerage Operations, Carrier Sales, and Account Management, ensuring service levels and resolving issues while maintaining accurate shipment data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, customer service, or related field preferred.
• Experience supporting transportation or freight operations preferred.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipment tracking, tracing, and customer communication.
• Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery to meet service needs.
• Provide timely shipment status updates to customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate with carriers and internal teams on pickup/delivery and delays.
• Provide POD support and report shipment data accurately in systems.
• Prepare and distribute operational and customer reports as needed.
• Maintain SOPs and support customer implementations and transitions.
• Maintain high levels of customer service while balancing priorities.
