Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a Senior FreeCAD Engineer to join a remote, contract-based team. You will create, modify, and validate parametric CAD models in FreeCAD to meet project requirements, and develop assemblies with GD&T and DFM in mind.

You will generate technical drawings, perform QA checks, and, when possible, apply Python scripting to automate modeling tasks. Strong communication for remote collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong FreeCAD proficiency and parametric CAD modeling experience.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and DFM principles.
• Ability to create clear, manufacturing-ready drawings and documentation.
• Experience performing QA checks on CAD models and drawings.
• Excellent communication for remote, project-based collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and validate parametric CAD models in FreeCAD to project specs.
• Develop and optimize mechanical assemblies with proper component integration.
• Apply GD&T and DFM to ensure manufacturability and quality.
• Generate precise technical drawings and documentation for reviews.
• Conduct QA reviews to identify and resolve issues in CAD models.
