Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a Senior FreeCAD Engineer to join a remote, contract-based project. You will create, modify, and validate detailed parametric CAD models in FreeCAD, and develop mechanical assemblies aligned with project requirements.

You will apply GD&T and DFM to ensure manufacturability, generate precise drawings, and perform QA reviews. Strong communication and Python scripting for automation are highly valued in this remote, milestone-driven engagement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in mechanical/product/industrial design with parametric CAD.
• Advanced FreeCAD proficiency or equivalent.
• Strong GD&T and DFM knowledge.
• Experience producing detailed drawings for manufacturing.
• Remote, project-based collaboration and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and validate parametric CAD models in FreeCAD.
• Develop mechanical assemblies and ensure integration.
• Apply GD&T and DFM to ensure manufacturability.
• Produce technical drawings and documentation.
• Perform QA reviews of CAD models and drawings.
• Utilize Python scripting for CAD automation (preferred).
• Provide feedback on model accuracy and process improvements.
