Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a Senior FreeCAD Engineer for a remote, contract engagement. You will create, modify, and validate parametric CAD models in FreeCAD to meet project requirements and generate precise drawings for review.

Responsibilities include GD&T, DFM-focused design, mechanical assembly optimization, and CAD automation with Python (preferred). Strong communication and remote collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in mechanical engineering or related field focusing on parametric CAD modeling.
• Advanced proficiency in FreeCAD or similar parametric CAD.
• Strong GD&T and DFM knowledge.
• Ability to produce detailed drawings and documentation for manufacturing.
• Experience performing QA on CAD models and drawings.
• Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and validate detailed parametric CAD models in FreeCAD to project requirements.
• Develop mechanical assemblies and integrate components.
• Apply GD&T and DFM to ensure manufacturability and quality.
• Generate clear technical drawings and documentation for reviews.
• Conduct QA reviews of CAD models and drawings to identify issues.
• Use Python scripting for CAD automation (highly preferred).
• Provide feedback on model accuracy and design intent.
