Job summary

YO AI Labs seeks a Senior FreeCAD Engineer for a remote contract role. You will create, modify, and validate detailed parametric CAD models in FreeCAD, develop mechanical assemblies, and ensure manufacturability through GD&T and DFM.

You will generate precise drawings and documentation, perform QA reviews, and apply Python scripting for automation where feasible, collaborating with the team to improve design across projects.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with parametric CAD modeling in FreeCAD or similar.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and DFM best practices.
• Ability to produce clear technical drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and validate detailed parametric CAD models in FreeCAD per project requirements.
• Develop and optimize mechanical assemblies with proper component integration.
• Apply GD&T and DFM to ensure manufacturability and quality.
• Generate precise drawings and documentation for review and downstream processes.
• Conduct QA reviews of CAD models and drawings to identify and resolve issues.
• Utilize Python scripting for CAD automation tasks where applicable.
• Collaborate by providing feedback on model accuracy and design intent.
