Job summary

YO AI Labs seeks a Senior FreeCAD Engineer for a remote contract role. You will create, modify, and validate detailed parametric CAD models in FreeCAD to meet project requirements, and develop mechanical assemblies while ensuring manufacturability.

You will apply GD&T and DFM principles, generate drawings and documentation, perform QA reviews, and use Python scripting for CAD automation where helpful. Strong communication and remote collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field with focus on parametric CAD modeling.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and validate detailed parametric CAD models in FreeCAD to project requirements.
• Develop and optimize mechanical assemblies and ensure proper component integration.
• Apply GD&T and DFM principles to ensure manufacturability and quality.
• Generate clear, precise technical drawings and documentation for review.
• Conduct QA reviews of CAD models and drawings to identify and resolve issues.
• Utilize Python scripting for CAD automation tasks (highly preferred).
• Collaborate by providing feedback on model accuracy and design intent.
