Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced FPGA/SoC Architect to lead the design, validation, and integration of high‑end FPGA/SoC solutions.

You will collaborate with global customers and cross‑functional teams to deliver robust timing, synthesis, and verification flows across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate has 12+ years in FPGA/SoC, extensive VHDL/Verilog, and embedded processor experience, with strong communication skills and a proven track record of delivering mature,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering/Science; Masters preferred.
• 12+ years in FPGA-based architecture definition, design, and support.
• 5+ years with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers).
• In-depth VHDL/Verilog, C, and embedded processor experience.
• Experience with Libero, Vivado or Quartus and related EDA tools.

Responsibilities

• Engage with tier1 customers and field teams for pre/post-sales design support.
• Provide advanced consulting and on-site/remote technical support with design demos.
• Lead design/verification across HDL, synthesis, timing, and debugging.
• Lead cross-functional teams to improve solutions and develop future ones.
• Create customer collateral, reference designs, and white papers.
