Job summary

Microchip Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced FPGA Fabric Engineer to design, develop, and optimize FPGA fabric within the FPGA Business Unit. You will work with architecture, hardware, and technology teams to deliver advanced FPGA solutions.

The role focuses on interconnect, routing, memory blocks, and clocking, with emphasis on performance, power, and area optimization in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of industrial experience in semiconductor design or layout.
• Experience with full custom mixed-signal design and advanced nodes (FinFET) is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop FPGA fabric architecture including interconnect, routing, logic elements, memory blocks, clocks, and related components.
• Analyze and optimize FPGA fabric for performance, power, area, and other metrics.
• Collaborate with system architects to integrate FPGA fabric with processors, interfaces, and peripherals.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for FPGA fabric design.
