Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Technical Staff Engineer - FPGA Fabric Design to design, develop, and optimize FPGA Fabric architecture for advanced, low-power devices, collaborating with architecture, ASIC, firmware, verification, and test teams to deliver industry-leading FPGA products.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in custom FPGA Fabric or memory design, strong SPICE skills, Verilog modeling experience, and proficiency with full custom/mixed-signal EDA tools for parasitic

Qualifications

• 12+ years of FPGA Fabric or memory circuit design experience.
• Strong SPICE simulation proficiency and Verilog modeling.
• Experience with custom/mixed-signal EDA tools for parasitic extraction and EM/IR analysis.
• Ability to script, manage simulations, and analyze data.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize FPGA Fabric architecture including interconnect and timing.
• Collaborate with architecture, ASIC, firmware, verification, and test teams.
• Create and verify circuit schematics and Verilog models.
• Prepare design specifications, test plans, and participate in reviews.
• Support timing characterization, power analysis, and silicon validation.
