Electrical Hardware Development Engineer to architect and lead the next-generation cloud infrastructure hardware, focusing on complex PCB designs and FPGA SoCs in our Bespoke Solutions team. You will drive hardware architecture, validate high-speed digital circuits, mentor engineers, and coordinate with contract manufacturers to scale production for AWS services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) required.
• 10+ years hardware engineering experience.
• Experience with motherboard PCB design, schematic capture, stackup and layout.
• Experience with FPGA SoC hardware integration, hardware validation and debugging.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead development of complex PCB designs incorporating FPGA SoCs.
• Drive system-level hardware architecture decisions and technical requirements.
• Lead new product introduction (NPI) processes with contract manufacturers.
• Develop and validate high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuits.
• Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC compliance, thermal, and signal integrity requirements.
• Partner with FPGA/firmware teams to define hardware interfaces and requirements.
• Lead design reviews and drive technical consensus across multiple teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish hardware engineering best practices.
