Job summary

Collins Aerospace is hiring a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer for the Avionics FPGA/ASIC team. You will guide architecture, design, verification and integration of high-performance digital systems with FPGAs/ASICs, applying best-practice project management across avionics products.

This is a remote, US-based role with frequent collaboration across functions. You will lead video/digital processing projects, ensure DO-254 certification alignment, and manage stakeholder communication, travel

Qualifications

• Requires university degree and 10+ years of experience or advanced degree with 7+ years.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.
• Experience leading video/digital processing in FPGA/ASIC or software products.
• Experience leading technical projects with customer interaction and leadership briefing.
• Experience with DO-254 or DO-178 design assurance (DAL B or higher).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development projects for video and image processing devices.
• Develop program strategies for complex hardware discipline and products.
• Ensure alignment to certification requirements up to DO-254 DAL A.
• Coordinate with engineering, program management, leadership, supply chain, and customers.
