Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a decisive technical leader to head an FPGA engineering team supporting defense programs. You will steer FPGA/ASIC development, ensuring cost, schedule, and technical performance goals are met across software, hardware, and systems teams.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 10+ years' experience or an advanced degree with 7+ years of experience.
• At least 5+ years leading engineering teams, mentoring and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in program execution, bidding, planning, EVM, and risk management.
• At least 5+ years of FPGA/ASIC development experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for FPGA development activities across the organization.
• Contribute to technical development by evaluating design approaches and driving continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and shared services to deliver FPGA solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence to meet customer and program requirements and support product line goals.
• Support business growth with technical content, estimates, and customer presentations.
• Manage assigned technical activities and deliverables across one or more programs.
