Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, seeks a Project Engineer to lead FPGA/ASIC and Foundational Software programs, guiding planning, scheduling and execution to deliver advanced radio technologies on time and within budget.

You will coordinate across engineering, program management and customer teams, serve as the engineering focal point for execution, and may lead bids, proposals and technical presentations with customers. Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and relevant experience per ad.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance (Secret) required before start.
• U.S. citizenship required due to security clearance.
• Experience managing technical projects including schedule, EVMS, risk management, and customer briefings.
• 2+ years cross-functional collaboration and Agile development experience.
• Travel up to 10% annually.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Engineering for FPGA/ASIC and Foundational Software programs to meet commitments.
• Provide project management direction during pursuit, planning, and execution.
• Track and report cost and schedule status.
• Ensure compliance with program and product requirements reflected in design plans.
• Lead a wide range of engineers from entry-level to experienced.
• Travel up to 10% annually.
