Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal FPGA Design Engineer. This onsite role focuses on FPGA/ASIC design and verification using VHDL/Verilog, with architectures for complex RF/EO applications. Candidates must have DoD clearance or be eligible to obtain one.

Responsibilities include developing production-quality FPGA releases, translating system requirements into FPGA requirements, and collaborating with hardware and systems engineers. The salary range is posted and relocation is offered.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• 8+ years of relevant FPGA/ASIC experience.
• FPGA/ASIC design or verification experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver production-quality FPGA releases from concept to production.
• Architect FPGA-based systems and determine parts/interfaces/CONOPS.
• Translate system-level requirements to FPGA requirements.
• Design and code in VHDL/Verilog for reliability and maintainability.
• Verify designs with directed and constrained random tests.
• Drive projects on time and budget; create documentation.
