Job summary

Simplyhealth, a UK healthcare charity, is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Partner to shape the Group’s financial direction. You’ll lead end-to-end planning—budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and scenario analysis—ensuring robust plans and clear insights for senior stakeholders.

Working with Finance, Data, BI, Underwriting & Pricing and other teams, you’ll build sophisticated models, challenge assumptions and identify risks and opportunities to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Qualified finance professional with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Significant FP&A experience in a regulated environment.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, performance management and long-range planning.
• Advanced financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, reporting and controls.
• Experience in regulated financial services or insurance.
• Strong systems skills with Dynamics 365, Power BI, Power Apps.
• Interest in leveraging tech, automation and AI.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning.
• Coordinate planning across groups for Exec/Board outputs.
• Develop and maintain financial models for planning and scenario analysis.
• Provide analysis of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow and KPIs.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reporting packs including Board reports.
• Offer commentary and recommendations to support decisions.
• Support strategic initiatives with business case development.
• Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
• Support regulatory reporting and ORSA contributions.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting, forecasting and finance tech.
