Ares Management Corporation is seeking a highly capable Associate Vice President for the Public Credit FP&A team. The role is based in multiple major U.S. cities and focuses on building projection models, forecasting and automation to support strategic decisions across Credit, investor relations and operations.

The ideal candidate will bring 7–10+ years in FP&A or related fields, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Anaplan while collaborating with technology to advance AI-enabled modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics from a top academic institution; MBA a plus.
• 7–10+ years FP&A, Corporate Finance, Accounting, Consulting or related experience; financial services or private credit a plus.
• Strong Excel skills in financial modeling; willingness to learn new systems to increase automation; familiarity with Anaplan or similar tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain fund projection models for public and regulated funds like BDCs and interval funds.
• Prepare and assist with scenario/sensitivity analyses and ad hoc requests for senior management.
• Lead automation initiatives of forecast models with a focus on enterprise modeling tools and AI integration.
• Coordinate with fund accounting, investor relations, portfolio management and operations to update inputs timely.
• Organize presentations for lenders, investors and rating agencies and support capital formation.
