Job summary

Ares Management LLC in New York and other offices seeks an Associate Vice President for Public Credit FP&A to drive fund projections, financial forecasting, and automation initiatives with AI enhancements. The role collaborates with Credit investment teams, investor relations, and operations to keep models current and actionable.

Ideal candidates have 7–10+ years in FP&A or Corporate Finance within financial services, strong Excel modeling, and experience with Anaplan or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related field such as Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics from a top academic institution.
• MBA or Graduate Degree is a plus, but not required.
• CFA and/or CPA license is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining fund projection models for public and non-private regulated funds.
• Preparing and assisting with scenario/sensitivity analyses and ad hoc business requests for senior management.
• Assisting and spearheading automation initiatives of forecast models with a focus on Anaplan or similar software; integrating AI/data technology.
• Coordinating with fund accounting, investor relations, investment professionals, portfolio management and operations to update inputs and assumptions.
• Organizing presentations and data requests for lenders, investors and rating agencies; supporting capital formation and balance sheet management.
