Job summary

Morningstar’s Corporate FP&A team supports strategic initiatives and long-term financial health. The Senior Financial Analyst will partner with Information Technology leadership to manage budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and value creation across IT functions in a global context.

Based in Chicago, the role collaborates with CTO and senior stakeholders, leads planning cycles, and drives efficiency using AI and BI tools while aligning with Morningstar’s corporate FP&A standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/CPA/CFA a plus; coursework in finance, accounting, business, economics, data science or STEM.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in corporate finance or business partnership/analysis roles.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; detail-oriented; self-starter.
• Comfortable multi-tasking and managing shifting priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Partner with IT leaders for budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, financial modeling and alignment with long-term strategy.
• Drive value for business units through cost allocations with multiple stakeholders.
• Influence decisions with data, improve forecast accuracy, and collaborate on procurement negotiations.
• Streamline recurring processes using AI tools and BI collaboration to maximize insights.
• Ensure FP&A processes align with central requirements across regions.
