Job summary

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago is seeking an FP&A Manager for Information Technology to lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. You’ll partner with IT leadership to translate technology plans into disciplined financial targets, ensuring cost transparency and actionable insights across the bank.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years in FP&A for IT, strong modeling and Excel skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems or related field.
• 5–10 years experience in FP&A, finance, or accounting supporting IT or technology groups.
• Hands on experience leading budgets and forecasts.
• Experience supporting technology spend including software and vendor contracts.
• Strong financial modeling, Excel, and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders, especially IT leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget and planning process with timeline management and scenario analysis.
• Provide regular technology spend reviews using actuals, forecasts, and prioritization discussions.
• Partner with IT to define measures of success for business cases and ROI analyses.
• Maintain IT forecasts incorporating project timing, vendor billing, and risks.
• Collaborate with IT cost center owners to align budgets with strategic priorities.
• Explain variances in software, cloud services, infrastructure, and IT labor.
