Job summary

Morningstar Inc. seeks a Senior Financial Analyst in Corporate FP&A to serve as the primary finance partner for Information Technology. You will lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, analyze results, and drive value creation with ad hoc support for strategic IT projects.

Reporting to the Director of Corporate FP&A, this role is based in Chicago with four days in the office per week. You will collaborate with CTO and IT leaders, finance partners, and regional teams to ensure accurate planning,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/CPA/CFA a plus.
• 2–4 years in corporate finance or business partnership/analysis roles.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Partner with IT leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Drive cost allocations and transparency across stakeholders.
• Influence decisions with data and insights to optimize forecast accuracy.
• Collaborate with BI teams to enhance efficiency and time for insight generation.
• Align FP&A processes across regions with central requirements.
• Track KPIs and financial reporting for IT.
