Job summary

Trading Technologies in Chicago seeks a Sr. Manager, FP&A Business Partner to lead financial planning and performance analysis for Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Service Management.

You will own budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-serve analytics, connecting costs to revenue and delivering actionable insights to senior leadership and the Board. The role requires strong financial modeling, business judgment, and the ability to influence technical leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred)
• 7+ years of FP&A, strategic finance, or business partnering experience
• Experience in PE-backed or high-growth SaaS/software environments
• Experience building line-of-business P&Ls and contribution margin analyses
• Strong understanding of R&D cost structures, software capitalization, cloud/hosting economics, and SaaS metrics
• Experience analyzing service delivery economics, cost-to-serve, and margins
• Ability to influence senior technical and product leaders with clear storytelling of numbers
• Advanced financial modeling skills and driver-based forecasting
• Proficiency with planning/forecasting tools and ERP/BI platforms; advanced Excel
• Self-starter with high ownership and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Service Management leadership to guide product strategy and investments
• Own Product & Engineering budget, forecasts, and monthly variance analyses
• Connect service delivery costs to service revenue and build visibility into margins
• Develop and maintain contribution margin reporting by line of business
• Build business cases and ROI analyses for new initiatives and capacity investments
• Collaborate on R&D capitalization, cost allocation, and resource planning
• Analyze unit economics and gross margin drivers and recommend profitability actions
• Contribute to AOP and long-range plan with product/engineering inputs and scenario analyses
• Prepare concise executive, investor, and Board materials translating cost performance into narratives
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve data quality across planning, ERP, and BI tools
