Job summary

Strata Decision Technology, LLC is seeking a Senior Analyst for the FP&A team in Chicago to help plan for the future, forecast expenses, and provide actionable financial insights. The role partners with the VP of Finance and business leaders to drive disciplined spending and scalable growth.

Responsibilities include enhancing forecasting models, preparing variance analyses, and delivering KPI tracking across cost centers, software, marketing, and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years in finance, FP&A, or accounting with expense planning responsibility.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling; experience with NetSuite or Adaptive Insights.
• Ability to translate data into clear recommendations for non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance expense forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning models.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly expense reporting with variance analysis and KPI tracking.
• Partner with department leaders to develop forecasts and improve cost visibility.
• Analyze software, infrastructure, commissions, marketing, travel, and other expense drivers.
• Build scenarios and business cases evaluating spending and investment tradeoffs.
• Improve recurring reporting and forecasting processes through templates, automation, and financial systems.
• Collaborate with Accounting, People, Technology and other teams to ensure data accuracy.
