Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team, focusing on government contracting FP&A. You will own core models, drive forecasting, and deliver analyses for executive leadership.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in FP&A with government contracting exposure, strong Excel modeling, and excellent communication. Hybrid work in Virginia Beach/Chesapeake.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5–8 years of FP&A or corporate finance experience, including 3+ years with a government contractor.
• Advanced Excel modeling skills to build integrated, driver-based models from scratch.
• Knowledge of government contract types, indirect rate structures, and FAR/CAS cost principles.
• Experience in a private equity-backed or acquisitive environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain complex analysis clearly.
• Collaborative team player with ownership mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build, own, and maintain driver-based financial models linking contract performance to company metrics.
• Develop program and contract-level models for various contract types (FFP, cost-plus, T&M, labor-hour).
• Model indirect rates and analyze sensitivity to labor base, headcount, and business mix.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow with scenario analyses and variance analyses.
• Provide financial analysis to business development and pricing teams for bids and strategy.
• Coordinate with accounting on close, accruals, and data integrity; ensure FAR alignment.
