Job summary

Iambic Therapeutics, a San Diego-based biotech company, is seeking a Senior Analyst, Corporate FP&A to lead financial consolidations and long-range planning. You will partner with G&A groups and provide analytics to inform strategic decisions for the Finance Team.

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will build robust financial models, manage annual planning and quarterly forecasts, and drive process improvements as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline preferred; MBA or CPA a plus.
• 4 - 6 years of professional FP&A experience, preferably in biotech or life sciences.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and consolidation processes.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; ERP/FP&A tools preferred.
• Strong communication skills to partner across scientific and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the consolidation process for budgets and forecasts across functional groups.
• Support development of the long-range corporate model for strategic planning.
• Serve as a finance business partner for all G&A groups including Admin, BD, Facilities, HR, Legal, IT.
• Lead the financial planning process for all G&A groups (annual, mid-year, quarterly).
• Develop and maintain robust financial models and budgets for G&A spending.
• Provide timely financial insights to senior leadership for strategic decisions.
• Assist in long-range planning and scenario planning for corporate growth.
• Collaborate with Accounting on month-end close activities.
• Develop scalable FP&A tools, systems and processes as the company grows.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned.
