Job summary

Iambic is hiring a Senior Analyst, Corporate FP&A to join its growing Finance Team in San Diego. This role will own financial consolidations, long-range planning, and provide analytics to guide strategic decisions.

You will work with G&A partners and report to the Head of FP&A from our San Diego headquarters. Responsibilities include leading annual planning, mid-year reforecasts, and budget-to-actual reviews, building robust models, and delivering insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years FP&A experience, biotech or life sciences preferred.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and consolidation processes.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling; ERP/FP&A tools preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to partner across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the consolidation process for budgets and forecasts for functional groups across Computational, Discovery & Experimental, Clinical & CMC, and G&A.
• Support the development of the long-range corporate model used to guide strategic planning and capital management.
• Serve as a finance business partner for all G&A groups including Administration, BD & Communications, Facilities, Finance, HR, Legal, and IT.
• Lead the financial planning process (annual planning cycle, mid-year reforecast and quarterly budget-to-actual meetings) for all G&A groups.
• Develop and maintain robust financial models and budgets to track all G&A spending by group and program.
• Provide timely and actionable financial insights to senior leadership in support of strategic decision-making.
• Assist in long-range planning efforts as well as scenario planning initiatives for our corporate growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Accounting team on month-end close activities.
• Support the development of scalable, gold-standard FP&A tools, systems and processes as the company grows.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the FP&A function.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects, as assigned.

Job Summary

We are hiring a Senior Analyst, Corporate FP&A to join the growing Finance Team at Iambic, an innovative biotech company redefining drug discovery and development by applying industry-leading AI and Machine Learning technology. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this role will be responsible for financial consolidations and long-range corporate planning. This role will also partner with our G&A groups on a broad range of planning and forecasting activities and provide group leaders with detailed analytics and insights to help inform strategic decision-making. This position will be based in our San Diego Headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered; MBA or CPA a plus.
• 4 - 6 years of professional FP&A experience, preferably within biotech, pharma or life sciences. Prior experience in investment banking, public accounting, or management consulting is a plus.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and consolidation processes.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; prior experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g. NetSuite) and financial planning tools (e.g. Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or similar) are preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills required, with the ability to partner effectively across scientific and business teams.
• Ability to prioritize, coordinate and handle multiple projects to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and strong desire to build new processes and tools to support a growth-oriented organization.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are required.
