MISO in Little Rock, AR seeks a Senior Forward Reliability Engineering & Support Engineer to help review and develop processes for reliable grid operation. You will analyze power systems using state‑of‑the‑art tools and collaborate across departments to ensure the next day’s operating plan is robust.

The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical engineering and 5+ years in energy, with experience in power flow and stability studies. A bonus program and 401(k) are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Five or more years in the energy industry, including utility or transmission operations.
• Two years utilizing power flow tools such as EMS security applications, PSS/E, POM, or DSATools.
• Steady‑state power flow analysis experience and stability study experience.
• Willing to be available after hours or weekends for shift needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to review and develop processes to support effective grid management.
• Analyze the power system using established methods and adjust operating plans for next day execution.
• Design future processes to ensure compatibility with MISO and external customers.
• Work with multiple internal and external teams to prepare the system for expected conditions.
