Job summary

IT Labs, LLC is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer to join a deep-tech environment, tackling complex software and AI challenges. The role is hands-on, customer-facing, and spans the full stack from prototyping to production-ready applications.

You will work with data scientists and ML engineers to bring advanced physics models into customer-facing apps, deploying and operating via Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and AWS.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and production experience.
• Expertise in Python, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with FastAPI or similar Python frameworks.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform.
• Experience with AWS and cloud services.
• Able to own complex problems end-to-end and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer challenges and design impactful software solutions.
• Build rapid prototypes, gather feedback, and iterate to production.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate physics models.
• Deploy and operate applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, AWS.
• Work with frontend, design, and platform teams for end-to-end delivery.
• Identify reusable components and contribute to core platform.
