Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to design and implement data, AI, and application solutions using the company platform. You will own the architecture, lead design decisions, and deliver end-to-end systems for customers.

This hands-on, client-facing role rewards engineering excellence, curiosity, and collaboration across engineering, product, and customer teams. You will travel up to 20% to engage with customers and drive measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data engineering, data platforms or software engineering.
• Ability to write code in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP) and at least one deep.
• Strong distributed computing experience, especially with Spark.
• Familiar with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.
• Ability to design end-to-end data architectures and applications.
• Experience delivering technical projects for enterprise clients and managing scope.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade projects delivering reference architectures, custom applications, and data ingestion with ML/AI model integration.
• Guide transformational big data projects end-to-end from design to deployment.
• Mentor customers on architecture and design; bootstrap or implement customer projects.
• Own architecture decisions ensuring secure, scalable solutions aligned with company best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and customer teams to ensure delivery goals.
• Provide product and support feedback to enable rapid issue resolution.
• Embed with customer teams across technical ICs to executives to understand challenges and impact.
