Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join the Converge for FSI team. You will embed with strategic financial services clients to design and implement production-grade, cloud-native solutions using our platform.

You will translate technical concepts for engineers and executives, lead hands-on design sessions, and guide architecture reviews to reduce risk and accelerate value delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including client-facing/solutions engineering
• Background in financial services or fintech is strongly preferred
• Willingness to travel 20–30%
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for strategic client accounts with architects and engineers
• Lead discovery sessions to understand architectures, pain points, and goals
• Translate complex tech concepts into clear narratives for technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborate with client architects and internal teams to design scalable, production-ready solutions
• Provide guidance on microservices, event-driven patterns, and cloud deployment
• Prototype and deliver polished demos and POCs tied to client use cases
• Facilitate deep-dive technical workshops and create runbooks and integration guides
• Advocate for customer needs to product and engineering teams
