Job summary

Deloitte seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer for its Converge for FSI team to work directly with strategic clients in insurance and financial services. You will design, prototype, and deliver production-grade microservices on a multi-cloud platform, mentor clients, and drive architectural decisions.

You will lead workshops, create demos, and write runbooks while collaborating with Sales, Solutions Architecture, and Product teams to shape the go-to-market strategy.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with client-facing or solutions engineering exposure
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent; Advanced Degree is a plus
• Ability to travel ~20–30%, depending on client engagement mix
• U.S. work authorization required, sponsorship not available

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for strategic client accounts, building deep relationships with architects, engineers, and technical leaders
• Lead discovery sessions to understand client architectures, pain points, and business objectives
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear narratives for technical and non-technical audiences
• Design scalable, production-ready solutions with client architects and internal teams
• Advise on microservices, event-driven patterns, and cloud-native deployment
• Prototype and deliver polished demos and POCs tailored to client stacks
• Facilitate deep-dive technical workshops and produce integration guides
