Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to collaborate with customers, owning architecture and leading end-to-end data/AI deployments on the Databricks platform. You’ll deliver production-grade systems, designs, and integrations, while guiding customers through architecture decisions and best practices for scalable success.

You will work across engineering, product, and developer relations, embedding with client teams to drive measurable outcomes and reusable accelerators that scale

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data engineering, data platforms, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with distributed computing using Spark and Spark internals.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiar with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.
• Experience delivering enterprise projects with stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solution delivery with reference architectures and data integration.
• Guide transformational big data projects end-to-end from design to deployment.
• Boot strap or implement customer projects to achieve measurable outcomes.
• Own architecture decisions for secure, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and customer teams to meet needs.
• Provide feedback to product teams and support rapid issue resolution.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact.
• Develop accelerators and best practices to scale across accounts.
