Job summary

UKG is seeking a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer in Seattle, WA. You will own technical discovery, design, and hands-on engineering for strategic customer engagements, turning ambiguous problems into prototypes and production solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience designing and deploying production systems
• Ability to lead technical direction for a workstream or engagement
• Strong communication skills for technical and customer stakeholders
• Familiarity with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI-enabled tooling

Responsibilities

• Own technical discovery and invention for customer engagements
• Design and build production-grade APIs, integrations, and data pipelines
• Lead engineering pod direction and mentor other engineers
• Collaborate with PM, Product, Security, and customer teams to surface risks and decisions
• Contribute reusable patterns, templates, and reference architectures
