Job summary

UKG is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer III to work closely with customers, learn their world, and deliver production-grade integrations and AI-enabled workflows. You will own a customer workstream, prototype ideas, and build scalable solutions that connect HCM, payroll, and workforce management systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software or developer platform experience.
• Experience building production integrations and AI-enabled workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and security considerations.
• Ability to translate customer needs into practical software designs.
• Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand challenges and opportunities for innovation.
• Own technical delivery for a customer workstream from discovery through go-live.
• Prototype ideas, test with customer feedback, and turn prototypes into production systems.
• Build high-quality components, APIs, event-driven workflows, and data pipelines.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and runbooks.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to identify gaps and reusable patterns.
